Experience Rugby

Come to Novo Plaza on Friday, March 6th from 14:00 to 18:00 to try out what it’s like to be a rugby player and experience the energy of this fair, team-oriented, and dynamic sport! Together with Prague rugby clubs, we are preparing an afternoon full of experiences, sports, and fun for both children and adults.

All major Prague rugby clubs will present themselves at the event:

RC Tatra Smíchov, RC Slavia Prague, RC Sparta Prague, RK Petrovice, RC Praga Prague, and Rugby Olymp, which together form Prague Rugby. You can look forward to demonstrations of techniques, a varied accompanying program, and the opportunity to try rugby for yourself.

What can you expect?

• Demonstrations of rugby skills – scrum, line-out, tackle
• Interesting talk about the history of rugby in our country, including the legacy of Ondřej Sekora
• Introduction of individual Prague clubs and their youth categories
• Segments dedicated to girls' and women's rugby
• Conversation with national team players and Bohemia Rugby Warriors about the successful 2025 season and plans for 2026
• Pain arena and obstacle course, where you can safely try rugby
• Space for questions, sports experiences, and photos with players

The entire afternoon offers a varied program alternating with sessions of free rugby trials under the guidance of experienced coaches.

16:00 - 16:20 - Presentation of girls'/Women’s rugby, specifics of women’s rugby

Rugby demonstration: Tackle

16:20 - 17:00 - Free time to try rugby (Pain Arena/Obstacle Course) + space for questions

17:00 - 17:20 - Presentation of the national team and Bohemia Rugby Warriors

17:20 - 18:00 - Free time to try rugby (Pain Arena/Obstacle Course) + space for questions

From March 2nd to 27th, a thematic exhibition mapping the century-long history of rugby in our country will be on display in the arcade.
